Review by hotel critic
Nestled by the serene Lake Vico, La Finestra Sul Lago offers a tranquil retreat amidst a hazelnut plantation. The cozy living room with a fireplace and snooker table invites relaxation, while the window framing the picturesque lake and mountains offers a stunning view. The friendly owners go the extra mile in recommending local eateries serving delectable yet affordable dishes - a refreshing break from city prices. The intimate setting, personalized breakfast, and recommendations for nearby attractions added a personal touch to my experience. The accessibility to the lake for swimming and canoeing, accompanied by the owner's four playful dogs, made for a memorable stay. This idyllic hideaway offers a peaceful haven for those seeking a blend of nature's beauty and cozy hospitality. *A budget-friendly gem*, La Finestra Sul Lago strikes a harmonious balance between luxury and value, making it a wise choice for travelers looking to unwind in the heart of Italian countryside charm.
